Permanent Midlands £45k–£52k Warehouse & Distribution

Lead a 24/7 distribution site for a growing 3PL — full P&L responsibility, a team of around 80, and a genuinely clear route to operations director level. This is a permanent appointment with a business that's investing in people, systems and new client wins.

You'll own cost, service and safety across the site, working closely with the senior team to deliver against demanding SLAs while building a culture people want to stay in. It's a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance the numbers with the floor.

Key responsibilities

Own the site P&L — labour, cost-to-serve and budget performance
Lead and develop a team of around 80 across multiple shifts
Hit and exceed customer SLAs for accuracy, dispatch and service
Drive continuous improvement, productivity and WMS optimisation
Champion health, safety and compliance across a 24/7 operation
Support new client mobilisations and peak planning

What we're looking for

Proven warehouse or distribution management experience
A track record of leading large teams in a fast-paced 3PL or retail DC
Strong commercial and budgetary acumen — comfortable owning a P&L
Confident with WMS, KPIs and continuous-improvement methods
Genuine people leadership and a focus on retention
NEBOSH/IOSH awareness and a safety-first mindset

Package & benefits

£45,000–£52,000 a year, depending on experience
