Temporary HGV Class 1 Drivers in March

Class 1 driver recruitment for March — single nights, weeks of cover and ongoing trunk assignments.

Norfolk & the Fens

March Class 1 cover, on your terms

Trunk routes, container work and distribution, covered by one desk.

Night trunking between King's Lynn and the Fenland agri-food and cold-storage estates and the national hubs is typical Class 1 work across Norfolk & the Fens. We match drivers who want night work, not just any shift.

Busy months across Norfolk & the Fens often mean one more night trunk than the rota can staff. A temporary Class 1 driver covers it without a permanent hire.

Class 1 demand across Norfolk & the Fens follows agri-food and vegetable processing, cold storage, offshore wind and southern North Sea energy logistics and regional 3PLs, which is why peak-season artic cover is worth booking early.

Class 1 shifts we fill

Typical runs a temporary Class 1 driver covers.

How it works

Getting a driver booked

You send the brief

Trailer type, route profile, start time and how many nights. Two minutes on a form or a call is enough.

We check the paperwork

Licence, Driver CPC, tachograph card and right to work are confirmed before we name the driver.

The driver is briefed

Site rules, the unit, the first job and who to report to — before the driver arrives.

Class 1 planning

Before you book a C+E driver

Some Class 1 bookings are a single night. Others settle into a regular pattern that runs for months. Both begin with the same request.

Class 1 shifts tend to fall into three shapes: nights trunking between hubs, days on general haulage and tramping with nights out. Each suits a different driver, so we ask which one you run.

For a Class 1 request, include:

  • Where the tractor unit is based
  • The start time and the first run
  • How many nights or weeks of cover
  • Parking and facilities for nights out
Compliance

Verified every time

For dangerous goods we also confirm the ADR classes held and their renewal date. The standard checks — C+E, Driver CPC, tachograph card and right to work — apply to every booking.

Past the licence check, we look at recent artic work: trailer types, distances and whether the driver has done nights lately.
